That’s where my favorite aunt got married in 1963. And other family members in my mom’s family got married there too.
I attend a Spanish-speaking ward, and we have a total of 10 missionaries assigned to our ward; so, I like to give a set of missionary figurines to each new missionary that is assigned to our ward. We just had transfers, and we got 4 new missionaries, so I gave each of them a figurine set as a welcome gift. The missionaries love them, and they can customize the figurines to look just like themselves; and they can also customize the other figurine to match each companion for the remainder of their mission. The missionary figurines each have a name tag, a bible and a Book of Mormon! The elders have dress pants, white shirts, and ties; and the sisters have dress blouses and skirts. The figurines are really well made, customizable, and will last forever!
We’re a big time Lego building family. This was our first brick’em young set and we LOVE IT! My daughter started and completed this set after church today. Can’t wait to keep it displayed for many years to come.
I put these little missionaries on the shelf by the pictures of my grandchildren who have or are serving missions with a little paper with the name of their mission on it. All the grands love looking at them.
